A shooting outside a restaurant in downtown Buffalo early Saturday killed four people and wounding four, police said. The victims were leaving a large party inside the bar and the City Grill restaurant at about 2:30 am when gunfire erupted, police and witnesses said. Police were investigating witness reports that an argument could have begun at home. Researchers do not know how many shooters there were.
Three victims were pronounced dead at the place where the business district of the city and a fourth died in hospital. The dead included two men and two women, said Richards. Authorities did not release their identities.

Raymond Wilhite returned to the restaurant a couple of hours after the shooting and said his daughter 32 years old, Tiffany Wilhite, was among the victims.

The conditions of the injured, all men, were not immediately available. Spokesmen for the Erie County Medical Center and Buffalo General Hospital confirmed some of the wounded were taken, but declined to release their conditions.

Dates Tommy, 35, of Buffalo, said he was in the restaurant’s bar with his friends when he noticed a party was broken. He said that people began to leave the restaurant, but rushed back in a few minutes later.

“Many people are real upset, trying to get out of the way,” said dates. “Nobody knows where everything was. Everyone was in panic.”

A message left for the restaurant owners was not immediately returned.

Three bodies that was in front of the restaurant for several hours, one of them in the street. About 20 people stood behind yellow police tape, some trying to comfort bereaved families and friends.

The window of an office next to the restaurant’s main street was shattered like glass was a subway entrance across the street.
